Spatting

Do Christian couples have just as many issues in the married life as non-Christians? I would say yes, they are just different. My husband and I have now been married for 3 years and with the 3 years I have given birth 3 times. I guess you would say we have had to change alot in a very quick time period. I feel with all the change have come our disagreements, yes even as Christians we disagree. Does disagreeing with someone change the way you feel about them. I guess this is where I find the difference between Christians and non-Christians. Although Bob and I may disagree and have our spats here and there, I never feel any different about him. I still love him through our spats. Some may say as a Christian you should not argue and get upset with each other, if you are one of "those people" please give me some advice , I could use it. Through our spats I somewhere find myself asking for forgiveness from my husband and from God. Many would let there disagreement turn to bitterness, and than bitterness turn to hate. Let's all wake up and realize as Christians we can not allow Satan to come in and try to destroy our marriages over pity disagreements. You may have a spat here and there but let's remember God loved us first so we could love each other.

Forgiveness for Bitter Days

How often do we as believers in Jesus Christ sin? In my current reading Max Lucado says, "to sin is to "fall short" Romans 3:23".

Lets think about it this way....

"Worry is falling short on faith. Impatience is falling short on kindness. The critical spirit falls short on love"

"How often do you fall short?"

Remember falling short does not mean God has kicked you out of the game, but it does take you asking for forgiveness to get back in the game.

We all fall short... when you do get back up... ask for forgiveness... and continue... God still loves you....

I'm Reading

Yes, you read it right... i am reading an exciting book, titled, "Everyday Deserves A Chance", by Max Lucado. My husband is an avid reader of Lucado's books. He loves everyone of them he has read... Are children also love the Hermie and Wormie children's books. I began reading about 3 days ago and let me tell you I have enjoyed every minute of this book. I am not a big reader, in fact I am not a reader at all. My husband usually laughs at me, when I read a book, b/c I once told him "if the first line doesn't catch me, I am not reading it", therefore the books I read are few and far between.

The book I am reading now is so wonderful... God is really showing me how to appreciate each day I am given... I just wanted to share a small portion of this book.... Max says it this way,

"Gratitude is the firstborn child of grace, the appropriate response of the blessed".

If you are a blessed person always remember this... God is so grateful to us let us be grateful for even the ungrateful days in our lives.

For God So Loved The World

Written by: Bob Wolf

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Bob does not so love the world that he would give his one and only son. But of course no one believing in me will get eternal life. I can’t grasp the concept of letting my son die for others sin. God not only could grasp it, He did it.

God loved you and me enough to give up His own Son. Who here would lay down the life of one of their children for another. Not I. I would gladly give my own life, but not one of my kids. I now question myself if I would give up one of my children if God told me to. I would like to think I would listen and be faithful. In the Book of Genesis chapter 22 God tested Abraham by instructing him to offer up his only son Isaac as a burnt offering. Abraham listened, and in the end the Lord spaired Isaac and said to Abraham "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." God is the same today as He was then, so I may be asked to do the same as Abraham one day.

God made a way for all of us sinners to have eternal life by sacrificing His one and only sinless Son. He didn’t do it just for those that believe in Him, but for the World. The whole world, even those who choose to claim Satan as their god. At this point in history it’s still not too late to turn to God and ask for forgiveness. We don’t know when our number will be called and we will no longer have time to make the most important decision of our life. This is the time. We are not guaranteed another minute. He said whoever believes in Him shall not perish, you and I can be the next whoever. We can have eternal life if we confess with our mouth and belief in our heart the Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He was sent to Earth to die for us, it was our sin that drove the nails that hung Him on the cross. On the third day He was resurrected.

We believe = eternal life

Why Do I Want To Sin???

Written by: Bob Wolf

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. Romans 7:14-20

Paul states in this passage that he his unable to do what he wishes, but does what he dislikes. How is it that our flesh can control our actions so much? I believe I am a Child of God, yet so many times I have such odd thoughts. As a Police Officer I meet all kinds of interesting people. I find myself sometimes thinking of worldly ways to handle situations. I have yet to carry through with it, but often think it would be fun. There are some people I could yell or curse at, some I could just use my baton or taser. But what would God like me to do? I believe he would like me to do what I end up doing, talk things out until every body is happy or can understand why they are getting a ticket. I've never had anyone threaten me or try to fight, but sometimes I wish they would. I wonder to myself," I can go from listening to a Christian radio station while on patrol to wanting to kick someone in the head". I find I can't control my thought from one minute to the next. Once I realize what I'm thinking I try to sing a little loader, some might find it odd if they see me sing in my patrol vehicle. The Holy Spirit has kept me in check for almost five years. Before then I would think of something and then do it, and not feel bad about it. When I started going to church I started feeling bad about what I did. My friend told me that was God working in me.

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7: 21-25

If not for the Holy Spirit what kind of man would I be? I would be very nasty and people would not want to be around me. Some people don't want to be around me now, but that's because I preach to them every now and then. I don't wish to go to Hell, and don't wish that any body I come in contact with go to Hell. I know I can't save them, but maybe I can plant the seed.

Mommy Is Proud Of Her Son!!!

Thank you Grandma Garringer for the cake
Brady and Proud Daddy
Pastor Kenny and Brady
Brady getting ready
After Brady was baptized

Well here we go... today is kinda a sad day... Brady has been here for the last two months and now it's time for him to return to his mom's... No matter how often we do this, it's always a sad moment.. I am so proud of Brady... This summer has been amazing... We have done alot with him... His sister's always enjoy being with him.

There are alot of things to be proud of Brady for, but most of all I am proud that he is growing in his relationship with God. Brady is only seven now but he is beginning to understand alot of the Bible and about being apart of the family of God...

Recently Brady choose to get baptized in water... I was a little hesitant about him doing this but after prayer, God showed me that I should not be a hindrance in his christian walk... I am so proud that Brady is listening to the voice of God and obeying his commands... I ask the Lord everyday to keep my children in his arms. I pray my children will always love the Lord and always follow Him ALL the days of their lives....
