EXTRA INCOME

The current blog is a prayer request...

I am sure like most of you out there, money issues are a big concern for you and your families. Everything seems to cost 20 cents more every time you go to the store. The same is with our family... The more the cost rises of food , electric, and gas the less we have

Over a year ago, my husband and I moved to a small town in Missouri, thinking life would be better and we would be better off. Only to find that a year later we are worse off. Our family is stuck in that middle bracket, the working class...not middle class but working class, that I am sure so many of you reading this are. We found that my husband makes just barely over the limit to receive any government assistance. When we moved we were so excited to be getting off of government assistance/food stamps. We felt that being off was us not depending on the government to feed our family, and us working for the food on our table, but now with the rising prices of everything and the wages staying the same, I worry. As a christian I depend on God to provide for our family but yes I still worry from day to day. I often find myself wondering will my kids eat chicken noddle soup tonight or ramen noddles.

In all my worrying I find myself in a guilty state the majority of the time. With 2 children 2 and under I stay home... Yes, even struggling as we do I stay home. In my heart I feel I really want to work and need to work to bring in more income, but somewhere in the middle I know my kids need me at home, some may disagree or argue this point with me, and to those who do I say "Phooey". So this is where my prayer request comes in...

We need an extra income, that's makes enough to help pay bills that are literally being swept under the rug and to help pay for our everyday needs, and I know Bob is doing all he can in supporting our family. So this time it's my turn.

I have in the past year advertised twice for home childcare here in our small town and have gotten absolutely no response, but with much prayer I am going to advertise one more time. I am asking for specific things as I pray. I am asking for God to first send children that are needing "Him", children that need God to touch their lives, and second I am praying God sends me children that have responsible parents, that pay when it is time to pay... For those of you that have ever babysat, you know what I am getting at.

Please pray as God does His will in our lives, and continue to pray for open doors.

God Bless You All
